Summary:
Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Program Director of Veterans Behavioral Health Services to develop, implement, and evaluate Mental Health Therapy and Addiction Services for Veterans across the Sheppard Pratt portfolio.
This position is an administrative leadership position that will also provide direct clinical services.
In collaboration with clinical and service line leadership, the Director will build on existing behavioral health services across Sheppard Pratt to tailor, adapt and expand services for veterans.
The Director will develop new programmatic, fee-for-service, and grant-funded behavioral health services for veterans.
In addition, the director will expand coordination and system integration to better serve veterans.
Finally, the position will provide and evaluate direct clinical services to veteran clients.
Full time, salaried psychotherapy position with benefits.
Requires skills, education, licensure, provide outpatient psychotherapy services to individuals, groups and families.

Will manage walk-ins and scheduled appointments and provide screening and treatment for mental health symptoms.
Therapist will provide direct psychotherapy to veterans and consultation to individuals and staff regarding mental health conditions (50% of the time).
Responsibilities Program Development and Leadership Collaborates with clinical and programmatic leadership to develop strategies to facilitate veterans' access to mental health and behavioral health services across Sheppard, including therapy, medication management, and addiction servicesAnalyze need and barriers to veterans accessing mental health and behavioral health services through quantitative and qualitative meansIdentify strategic priorities to expand veterans' behavioral health services in a manner that is both financial self-sustaining and of exceptional quality.
Collaborates with clinical and service line leadership on all phases of program administration and program developmentMonitors adherence to agency, COMAR, and CARF accreditation procedures and practices and ensures proper usage of incident reportingMental Health and Behavioral Health ServicesAssess clients and collaboratively develop an Initial Treatment Plan to meet psychotherapy goals as credentialed and privileged to do so.
Provides individual, family, and group therapy as credentialed and privileged, to clients and as part of a collaborative treatment plan as demonstrated by signatures on treatment plans and content of session notes.
Documents services provided to clients in a progress note.
Provides necessary documentation in a timely way for authorizations.
Completes treatment plans, transitions and discharge forms within scheduled times.
Documents all services as delivered in EHR within the quality assurance guidelines.
Assess clients' other needs such as for case management, PRP, and other clinic services such as evaluation for medication and other treatment modalities.
Facilitate referral, coordinate, and document these services.
Directs or participates in clinical meetings/case conferences with Veterans Services and other relevant staff as appropriate.
Consult with other service providers to assure service collaboration.
Seek consultation and supervision for clients that are identified as possible high risk or high acuity or have other concerns that psychotherapist may need assistance.
Consultation can be with a clinical supervisor the treating psychiatrist, the Medical Director, and Clinic Director.
Maintains licensure and stays up to date on mandated training requirements.
Participate in clinic activities such as treatment plan meetings, staff meetings, and other activities as requested.
Requirements:
Work requires a master's degree and possession of an active Maryland State Licensed Certified Social Worker -Clinical license (LCSW-C) or LCPC (in good standing).
2 years of clinical experience is strongly preferred.
A commitment to serving Veterans.
Experience in program development and management.
Work requires an understanding of psychiatric diagnosis and assessment, ability to develop a treatment plan, and provide services as described in the plan.
Work requires the skills necessary to provide professional psychotherapy services.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
